We are honored to welcome Dr. Joseph Sirven as the keynote speaker for this year’s Strategic School Staffing Summit. Dr. Sirven is a neurology professor at Arizona State University, Chairman Emeritus of the Department of Neurology at the Mayo Clinic in Arizona, and a professor of practice in ASU's College of Health Solutions.
A renowned expert in healthcare, Dr. Sirven brings a wealth of experience in team-based collaboration, leadership, and innovation. In his keynote address, he will present on the power of teams, exploring how teamwork and innovation can transform complex systems.
Dr. Sirven is the chair of the American Academy of Neurology (AAN) Education Committee, serves as a consultant in the Department of Neurology, Division of Epilepsy at the Mayo Clinic in Arizona and hosts the weekly NPR Florida healthcare show, “What’s Health Got to Do With It?”. He previously served as the editor-in-chief of epilepsy.com and as the director of education for the Mayo Clinic in Arizona with oversight over all educational activities, including medical student rotations, residencies, fellowships, Ph.D. candidates, nursing, allied health and continuing medical education programs. As a first-generation Cuban American, Dr. Sirven is the current editor of Brain & Life en Espanol and previously served as a weekly medical contributor for NBC Latino.
